Blake Delgadillo, a former Crofton Cares Scholarship recipient and University of Tampa alumnus, recently graduated as the top-ranked student from LECOM-Bradenton medical school, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA. Blake credits the Crofton Cares Scholarship and the education he received at UT as pivotal in his journey toward becoming an orthopedic surgeon. He has now begun his residency at Jefferson Health in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Blake and his fiancée, Jamie, recently got engaged in Big Sur and are now living in Philadelphia with their Italian greyhound, Walter. Reflecting on his journey, Blake shared his deep gratitude for the Southard family’s support: “I thank God for allowing the Southards to have such a big heart to help people like me achieve their dreams.”
